2018 Showcase for Commerce Highlights

The 28th annual Showcase for Commerce concluded on June 1st. Here are some highlights:
 
  • U. S. Senator Bob Casey and U.S. Congressman Keith Rothfus supported Showcase for the 6th year
  • 91 exhibitors participated in over 100 booth spaces at Showcase ‘18
  • 88 golfers participated in the 24th annual BAE Systems/Showcase for Commerce golf outing
  • The BAE Systems Supplier Briefing offered a unique opportunity for one-on-one sessions with representatives and businesses interested in doing business with BAE Systems
  • The Government Contracting Series “Hot Topics in Government Contracting” provided information to participants concerning certified cost and pricing and indirect rates in addition to other topics
  • Speakers at the Government Acquisition Leaders Briefings included: U.S. Senator Bob Casey, U.S. Congressman Keith Rothfus, RADM Ronald A. Boxall, Director, Surface Warfare; Mr. Robert Kowalski, Acting Chief of Staff, PEO Ammo; and Dr. Larry Schuette, VP, Lockheed Martin, S&T Engagement
  • Senator Jack Reed presented the keynote at the John P. Murtha breakfast
  • Over $100million in contract awards announced at the Showcase Press Conference
  • Congressman G. T. Thompson and Governor Tom Wolf participated at the Public Exhibition
 
The Showcase for Commerce Committee thanks the Showcase sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, venue staff and volunteers, and all those behind the scenes who contributed to another successful event.
