AIM@Johnstown:
University of
Pittsburgh at Johnstown alumni were invited to participate in a new initiative
sponsored by the Greater Johnstown Keystone Innovation Zone and
UPJ. AIM@Johnstown's pillars are to Amplify learning,
Integrate
UPJ and community activities, and Mentor students. The
program is modeled after similar successful programs in other U.S.
university cities designed to remove campus boundaries and immerse
students more interactively with the surrounding community.

eBizITPA
applications available: Limited funding is now available to
small and medium sized businesses through a reimbursement grant
program for the implementation of information technology programs
(designing web sites, e-commerce applications, server upgrades,
customized database creation, and more). Funding
is available to any company, not just IT companies.
To date, more than $730,000 has been awarded to approximately 300

Energy News:
The Renewable Energy Center at Saint
Francis University received two grants from Pennsylvania
totaling more than $375,000.
These Energy Harvest grants will be used for the continuation of the
Pennsylvania Wind Assessment Program (PennWAP)
and a Geothermal Heating and Cooling System Project.
The
REC was initiated in part through the assistance of a Pennsylvania
Keystone Innovation Starter Kit grant. You can read
