Why PA?  YPA!   The Young Professionals of the Alleghenies is a group dedicated to enhancing the quality of place among professionals age 21 to 45 in the Greater Johnstown area by offering exciting opportunities for social interaction, business networking and community service.

The group has embarked on 2020 Regional Vision, a project to attract and retain young talent.  The first step in the initiative will be to develop a study of the region's unique "Community Handprint," a measure of seven location characteristics relevant to young professionals.  Based on the Handprint, the YPA will develop an action plan for enhancing the region's attractiveness to that demographic.

You can help by taking a 5-minute survey to log your perceptions about the Greater Johnstown area.  Survey respondents will be entered into a drawing to win one of three iPod Nanos

This project is funded by the support of Johnstown Area Regional Industries, the Cambria County Alliance for Business and Industry, Greater Johnstown Regional Partnership, Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Chamber of Commerce, and the Richland Township Supervisors.
