JARI provides a comprehensive suite of customized, no-cost, business counseling services designed to assist with a business start-up or expansion. Services include:

  • Assistance with preparation of business plans and financing proposals.
  • Market research assistance.
  • Marketing and sales planning assistance.
  • On-going counseling to entrepreneurs.
  • Connections to other economic development groups at the federal, state, or local level with assistance programs - either financial or technical - relevant to your business.

  • Facilitation of the global reach and export capacity of local companies through partnerships with the Pennsylvania Center for Trade Development and other local international trade assistance organizations.
  • Liaison to federal, state, regional, and local government officials and agencies.
  • Self Employment Assistance (SEA), a specialized program that assists individuals planning to open their own business. Individuals currently receiving unemployment benefits retain their benefits while getting started.

To supplement one-on-one counseling, JARI organizes educational workshops in various business topics to provide interactive training for cohorts of like-minded individuals, allowing collaborative learning among individuals with similar needs and questions.
