GJKIZ Programs

Upstarts & Innovators

The future of the Greater Johnstown economy depends upon technological innovation and related entrepreneurship. To generate more awareness of the critical need for growing our own businesses, the Tribune-Democrat has joined forces with the GJKIZ to provide an in-depth look at some local entrepreneurs, and to explain why innovation is important to any community's economic growth.

Local entrepreneurs from Cambria and Somerset Counties have devoted their time to provide a complimentary learning experience for students while showcasing their business savvy and entrepreneurial adventures. Presentations are held at various times throughout the year on the campuses of our five institutions of higher education (IHE). Interested members of the public and business community are welcome to attend.
